From Architect to Yoga Master: A Story Of Change

They say curiosity killed the cat … but satisfaction brought it back. The great thing about about following your curiosity, and trying out new things that interest you, is that you never really know where it will lead you. Jeremy Wolf is a great example of this.

I had the chance to chat recently with the former architect, now yoga teacher/international record label DJ, Jeremy Wolf, about his path through life thus far. What interests me about Jeremy is that his change in life seems rather large and to me very brave. Even if he might not see it as brave, but rather a sort of destiny.

Jeremy was working as an architect for many years until he decided he wanted to live abroad. He had always wanted to live out this dream and finally decided to go for it. He quit his job and began to travel. Eventually he landed in India, where he developed a profound love of Yoga.

I met him while taking his Yoga class at the Samadhi Center for Yoga in Denver. He is the type of teacher that shares profound things effortlessly while you struggle in downward dog. Then after class, he casually mentions that he will soon be off to Panama to DJ a gig. The thing that is great about Jeremy’s story is that he had the courage to seek out these things that interested him, and it led him to a completely new life. He reminds us that many times a clear path to something new is not always visible. Your path is just over the horizon, if you head in the right direction.

He was just featured on the Your Best Life Today podcast (video below), which I encourage you to check out for some inspiration. Jeremy reminds us that in order to fulfill our true purpose in life, we need to slow down:

In my post last week, If It Doesn’t Open, It’s Not Your Door, I talked about trying new things. If they don’t work out, that doesn’t mean you have failed. Just don’t forget to take some time to pause, breath, and move towards your true purpose.
